Drunk at Enoteca Piccola in Hsinchu. Amber hazy, mildly spicy herbal flavor, full and lightly sweet mouthfeel. Nice complexity, well balanced, excellent!

Malty, caramel aroma with a hint of citrus. Small, creamy head with medium bubbles. Amber colour, slightly hazy. Medium to full body. Light maltiness, caramel, and a hint of citrus. Distinct, herbal, and slightly stalky bitterness. Everything is old-fashioned, nothing extraordinary.

2016 version at 13% ABV. Cloudy deep amber with a small airy off-white head. Caramel & toast, walnut, toffee, brandy, esters, vanilla, tannins, pretty vinous. Surprisingly dry. Distant acidity. Low bitterness. Flat carbonation. Complex. Very different. Unique. Still odd and not breathtaking at all. Hardly worth the money.

17/10/2025. Bottle at Radio Bar, Tirana. I’m sure I’ve had it before but must have not rated it. Poured okay, but it’s a disappointingly basic beer. Quite watery. Expected better from a Baladin beer.
