Quite malty for an IPA, but hoppy and fresh. Some fruityness. Not bad, nothing exciting.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 27 July 2017) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, tropical fruit and resin. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, resin and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made, with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

Bottle at home. Black with good sized brown fizzy head. Peat smoke on the nose, quite a lot of it! When sipping it’s more roasted malts and soft red fruits that come to mind first, though there’s still some ash and light goat notes. Soft caramel, hay, and quite some tobacco towards the finish. Light grass and a hint of lime. Just medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with the carbonation a bit on the fizzy side. Decent stuff!
