Description
Arriaca was a Celtiberian settlement that preceded the city of Guadalajara. Its exact location remains a matter of debate, but undoubtedly somewhere, near our brewery, under our cereal fields, we find our origins, the ones which give name to our beer today. Arriaca creates authentic and original beers, made with patience and respect for the process. No tricks, no preservatives.

0,33l bottle at home from my Secret Santa Lowenbrau, big thanks. BB 06/2016. amber hazy color, small white head. strong smell of pines, rather sweet, candy, light notes of tropical fruits, mango, lemon grass, some herbs. good smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of pines, candy, sweetness, light tropical fruit-notes, oranges, some herbs. finishes lightly dry with very little bitterness and notes of pines and some herbs. overall decent affair, but just feels very heavy because of sweetness and malt backbone. Also trails off towards the finish, finish is heavy malty but flavors are rather light / also a bit stale hoppy. Overall drinkable but not overly special.

Bottle from More than Beer. Lote L048, best before 07/2016. Brown coloured with a fast disappearing tan head. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate powder, light coffee. Flavour of chocolate powder, roasted malts, bit of liquorice, coffee, some roasty bitterness. A bit thin bodied. Nothing imperial about this one.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Some fairly fresh, citrusy hop aromas. Medium body, very fruity, some initial sweetness, spicy, very lovely tropical hop accents. Dry finish if not extremely bitter. Quite lovely actually. 021215

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small, white head. Malty, fruity nose. Medium body, malty sweet, flowery hops and a dry finish. More lagerish in approach really. I lack some aroma hops. 021215
