Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, grain. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20151024]

[ As Klosterbryggeriet Kloster Abbedisse Bryg ].Clear medium amber yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit, moderate yeasty, fruity, candy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long duration, candy, sweet yeast, fruity, phenol. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150725]

Big beige head. Clear deep dark red body with fast carbonation. Syrupy spicy aroma with cocos notes, kind of faint. Sweetish fruity roasty taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish, and faintly acidic, earthy fruity aftertaste with chalky notes. Drainpour. It’s not totally spoiled, but not good enough to drink the whole bottle. (0.5l bottle, I don’t know where from. Best before is in 2017.)

Fra flaske ombord på Fridtjofen (RBHD!) aug-15: brunsvart med kort, lysebrunt skum. Aroma og smak preget av lakris, honning og røde bær. Myk, søtlig ettersmak primært av lakris. Havre og hvete bidrar til munnfylden, men kan ikke skjule at dette er en heller søt og dvask porter. Ihvertfall ingen black ipa - til det er humleprofilen alt for beskjeden.

Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 23.08.15. Ebony. Small, brown head. Aroma of sweet wort with some berries and caramel. Similar taste. Little or no carbonation.

Shared 500 ml bottle. Very dark brown to black colour, low beige head. Moderately roasty aroma with notes of syrup and honey. Sweet flavour with notes of syrup and honey. Not my favourite this one.
