On tap at Escollo, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is subtle, with lots of earthy coffee, maybe some green pepper, and toasted malt. Flavour is not too assertive, but has a nice, clean dry espresso character, toasted malt, and some earthiness. Fairly thin palate but the dryness and subtle coffee character work nicely.

On tap at Escollo, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a touch of dry, earthy cocoa. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt, earthiness, a touch of bitter cocoa, and even some hoppy bitterness. Dry, malty finish—fairly thin but decently constructed. Solid.
