Description

28/07/2017 @home - 33cl bottle shared with and kindly offered by jerre . Cloudy yellow, small fading head. Nose is artificial ripe apple, spices and herbs. Taste is sweet apple, yeast, heavy spices and herbs (lavender?), Way too heavy spiced to really, makes it even a bit chemical-like

28/07/2017 @home - 33cl bottle kindly shared by Jerre. Clear yellow, foam quickly gone, leaving just a lacing at sides of the glass. Nose and taste are typical tripel, just a bit too spicy.

Pours rather clear, yellowblonde. Medium sized head, fades rather fast. Smell is citrussy, mild malt (crisp, corny ) underneath. Taste is medium bitter. very much yeast, but not overly esther-intense. Crispy, corny malts. Citrussy notes from the hops ( a generous, but balanced amount ) . A decent body and carbo. Everything a Belgian ale can be, without going to extremes in any way. I can agree with the text ( that sounded awefull to me, actually ) this is mediocer, but not bland. not too much carbo or esthers for instance, no clear sugaryness. I do get a mild dry/metallic backnote ( metallic isn’t really the word, but it is the best fitting description I can give ) presumably a bit stressed yeast ? however this is a very mild background note and it won’t disturb most people.

Sampled at the tderoeck tasting for adamchandler. Pants are optional ! Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is showergel. Apples, in a very synthetical way. Taste is sweet, chemical bomb, soapy to a new extreme. This is damn undrinkable. Aftertaste has some arteficial apples, which is the only clear recognizable ingrediënt of this beer...
