Bottled (Thanks Arne M!). Close to black colour with a beigeish brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, some vanilla, roated malts and toffee. Flavour is chocolate, toffee, some bitterness along with mild herbal elements.

Bottled (Thanks CueSheet!). Hazy pale golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, some citrus, spruce and mild grass to it. Flavour is grapefruit, herbs, tropical fruits and some mild spruce to it.

Bottled (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Deep rubyish copper colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is raisins, alcohol, some wood and mild spices. Flavour is spices, some mild raisins, dry wood and mild toast. Mouthdrying palate.

Svart. Høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Litt lacing. God lakrisaroma. Smaken røstet malt & sjokolade. Hint av kako i en tørr, lett bitter avslutning. Gjennomgående krydderpreg.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, pale malt, dry hay and white bread. Flavour is similar with the addition of more grass. Has a slick mouth feel, medium to full body, and a soft bitterness. A little careful but is well balanced and fresh.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Stable fawn-coloured head, coal black in the glass, laced quite well. Inviting smell of berry skins and chocolate malts. Successful blended taste of dark-red berries, chocolate malts and a touch of biscuit. Fair bitterness to a malt-berry ending. Some Yuletide feel in this one. Special and interesting.(Tromsø 17.12.2022).

(No abv given on the bottle, about 4.5 % perhaps). 330ml bottle bought at Qvænbrygg Ølutsalg. Steady white head, next-to-clear golden, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of cereal malts and ripe fruits. Fine blended taste of bread-like malts and dried fruits, lightly spiced. Rounded, drying bitterness to the ending. Pleasing. (Hotel room, Vadsø 08.11.2022).
