Keg at Tasting Room, Mexico City. Black with small head. Aroma of freshly cut bell pepper and milk chocolate. Tart with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Mild bell pepper like chilli, caramel and chocolate. Low bitterness.

Very bitter with some caramel and booze. Not really my thing. Hazy mahogany pour with creamy head. Astringent boozy end. Bottle at Brewer Gastropub.

Almost sent this back because the menu just said stout and they gave me a coffee cream ale. Anyway, that's what it is. Coffee and cream. No roast outside the coffee. Hazy orange pour with good head and lacing. Bitter coffee bean. Tap at Tasting Room.

El Trappist, CDMX bottle: pours amber with white head. Aroma is slightly fruity but mostly malty. Lightly fruity taste but the malts really dominate here. Old?

A lightly hazed golden stout with a thick frothy lacing collapsing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with vanilla essence, light coffee grind and mineral notes, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. On tap at The Dank, DF.
