Tripel made for a hobby brewer in Affligem, tasted at ZBF 2017. Snow white, moussy head breaking open in the middle, clear yellow golden colour, warm ’old gold’ hue. Aroma of strong banana ester (bubblegum), melting powder sugar, pineapple slices, dough, yellow kiwi, dried field flowers and strong, off-putting DMS (overcooked cauliflower). Sweet flavour teeming with banana isoamylacetate, hints of ripe pear and pineapple, white candi sugary sweetness lingering over a bready and grainy malt sweetish middle, resulting in a honeyish effect, floral hop touch in the finish with only soft bitterishness alongside warming, gin-like alcohol and that unpleasant DMS returning retronasally. We have enough of this kind of beers as it is, why come up with yet another one? I could have more or less enjoyed it, though - if it weren’t for the DMS, which is quite strong here and bothered me all the way through. Needs work and lacks personality.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow, small white head. Aroma is mild fruity, slight estery. Light herbal to spiced. Fruity, phenolic, light toasted malty. Mellow fruity and light fruity finish.

Bottle shared. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is floral with herbal notes, caramel, citrus and light malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Clear bright blond beer, aery white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: banana, yeast, bit sugary, not much else. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, banana, yeast, soft bitterness, some citrus. Aftertaste: grassy touch, citrus, banana, yeast, sweet, alcohol is noticeable.

Clear bright blond beer, aery white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: banana, yeast, bit sugary, not much else. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, banana, yeast, soft bitterness, some citrus. Aftertaste: grassy touch, citrus, banana, yeast, sweet, alcohol is noticeable.

Kolor: jasny słomkowy, żółciutki. Piana śnieżnobiała, drobna, nieszczególnie trwała, ładnie znaczy szkło.
Aromat Rangskena jest kwaskowy, odrobinę metaliczny, z nutami owocowymi, minimalnie wyczuwalny banan.
W smaku na pierwszy plan wybija się goryczka, która trochę zalega w ustach. Akcent owocowy to winogrona, przez co odniosłem wrażenie jakbym pił białe wino musujące. Piwo jest delikatnie kwaskowe, Nasycenie więcej niż średnie.
Przy produkcji dodano między innymi skórki pomarańczy i kolendry. Niestety nie udało mi się ich odnaleźć w smaku i zapachu.
Spodziewałem się zupełnie innego piwa, liczyłem że będzie ciemne, "treściwe", a dostałem piwo wytrawne, kojarzące się z szampanem.
