Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black with a three finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated to leave some messy lace
Aroma: dark bready and toasted malts, some graininess, mild earthy character, ash & char
Flavor: combines all the prior mentioned aromas to blend sweetly with a clean roasty/toasty/char-like aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, mild sessionability, clean earthy to char to roasty finish
Overall: I thought I was reviewing this as a dark lager but I see it's a Munich dunkel lager, well, whatever this is supposed to be I like it enough to return to.

Can from Steve. Opaque, milky bright yellow, thin head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong orange, citrus, white grape. Taste is strong grapefruit, milder white grape, biscuit. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, hint of alcohol warming, dry, crisp finish as taste with light bitterness. Good.

8.6/10
Roasty, sweetish and heavy with soft barrel oakiness, bourbon, maltiness, prunes, figs, toffee, syrup, chocolate sauce and vanilla. Quite complex and balanced slow sipper.

8.2/10
Sweetish, slightly roasty and oaky with some apple brandy notes, hints of vanilla, cocoa, chocolate sauce and syrup. Quite balanced, not as aggressive or stingy as many other apple brandy BA stouts, but still not the biggest fan of them
