Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and minerally crisp. Smooth pale malts, not that sweet. Floral bitterness turning tangy and harsh. Mild ripe orange. Light dry finish. A bit harsh without much to balance it.

330ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, dark brown colour with thin, frothy, lasting, moderately lacing, off-white layer. Bitter, zesty, orange aroma on sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty basis. Taste has orange juice notes, sweet fruity, some fruit acid, a zesty touch, chocolately dark malty basis; flat carbonation, insipid.

As Brecon Red. Clear medium amber colour, good frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Subtle aroma, malty, caramel, light fruity (berries, tangerine, peach), bread, light herbal notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, toffee, bit toasted, with average to long duration, malty bittersweet aftertaste. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, good one.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty. Light fruity. Bitter, citrusy, grassy and toasted dry malty. Bitter, mild sweet and toasted malty finish.

Church Inn. Ludlow. Cask. Hazy orange - amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Nice condition. Light and semi dry sweetish malts. Good hoppy fruits here - orange peel, tangerine peel and their fruit pulps. Light floralness, touch of lemon. Peel bitterness and then sweeter fruits. Light crispy finish. Peel and fruity bitter linger. Really nicely done. Full of flavour.

Church Inn, Ludlow. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Very tangy orange, pithy bitterness. Touches of lemon rind and grapefruit. Finishes light with floral apple and pear. Tangy but flavoursome.

Cask-conditioned at the Clytha Arms, Monmouthshire 8/10/2014. Deep gold with a decent, white, head. Pleasant bitter, with some cereal malts, hedgerow fruits and a decent bitter finish. Good.

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Hazy dark orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, quite fruity, slightly fruit peel, something weird I can’t put my finger on. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer.
