Description
On the outskirts of Billund, just a stone's throw from the expansive Jutland heaths, lays Dansk Mjød. A traditional brewery which has brewed mead since 1994 on the basis of old recipes and with an uncompromising focus on quality and ingredients. It is the endless stories and myths about mead, which still inspire Dansk Mjød to create products that combine the ancient brew craft and tradition with a modern eye for quality and tastes.

Bottle @ The 4th Annual Fastelavns-Smagning Ulfborg, 2013. Pours clear copper with bubbles on top. Acetone, fruit, cherries, apple, bubblegum and honey. German candy. Warmth. Sippable. Oily.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear golden without head. Aroma is sweet, honey and herbal. Flavor is very sweet. Very sweet finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 160213

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. No head. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are sweet honey and alcohol. Nice and warming. Medium sweet.

Bottle @ Home, courtesy of HenrikSoegaard. Pours clear dark amber, nice lacings. Aroma of honey, wood, some alcohol. Flavor is honey, wood, light spice, booze. Medium body, strong warming alcoholic finish. To heavy on the alcohol. 100213

Ceramic bottle, 19%. Sweet and alcoholic aroma. Clear amber colour. The flavour is sweet with some honey, a little spicy. Raisin finish, like Swedish gloegg, also some metal.

Bottle. Pours clear butterscotch with no head and no lacing. Aroma is honey, strong flowers, a bit of bug spray. Flavor is very sweet, floral, somewhat odd, but certainly better than the aroma. Light body, no carbonation, strong boozy warming from ABV.
