Bottled. Nut brown, really rich head. Roasty and nutty. Medium sweet with rather soft mouthfeel. Well structured malt, some hay-like hops Warming finish with medium bitterness.

Chestnut coloured beer with no head. Perfumed fruity aroma with some banana and some malt. Sweet malty flavour, with some alcohol. Doesn’t the wee Prince Johnny deserve something more exciting?

Bottled. A murky red-brown beer with a thin and fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of over ripe fruit, berries, and some candy sugar. The flavor is very sweet with notes of alcohol right from the start, before notes of over ripe fruit and malt and berries sets in, which in time again is over powered by the alcohol this time with a tingling and warming sensation on the tongue. Too simple for the style. My bottle states it at 8.5% ABV.

Bottle. Clear, golden, with a beige head. Hops, malt and sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is malty and sweet, with hops and fruits playing second violin. Medium body. Quite nice, but there’s nothing special to it. (070608)

Bottle. Unclear, golden-orange beer, with a yellowish, dense head. Malty, quite sweetish nose with fruityness. Sweet, quite malty flavor as well, with the same fruityness as in the aroma. Sweet and malty finish. A quite nice, full-bodied beer. Rating: 6-4-6-4-13-3.3 070608
Bottle. It’s an almost clear beer, dark golden in color, and an off-white head sits on top. Some spiced notes in the aroma, else quite sweetish and grainy, a little alcohol lurking in the back. There’s some caramel in the flavor, with a touch of alcohol and spices, all supported by a pleasant hop profil leaving lemon and orange. Medium body. Overall, on the sweet side, but quite tasteful. Not my favorite Christmas beer. 091226

Black with short lasting beige head.Creamy and light smoked aroma.Taste of licorice and coffee.Just a littel to thin to be a really good stout.

Small white head. Hazy amber body. Light floral malty aroma with notes of peas and caramel. Sweetish dry caramel and earth taste with notes of peas, roastiness, and spice. Some alcohol notes. Slightly grainy mouthfeel. Dry, grainy caramel aftertaste. Nice. (0.5l bottle.)
