Interessant ist auch der Duft, sehr süß und kräftig. Die Farbe ist für ein Biermischgetränk doch recht kräftig, die Schaumkrone ist noch ordentlich. Das Bier ist wässrig, im Antrunk und Mittelteil ist ein Limonengeschmack erkennbar, der stark genug ist, um nicht als Wasser durchzugehen und schwach genug, um nicht als pure Limonade zu gelten. Lediglich der bierige Geschmack will nicht so recht durchdringen. Erst im Nachgeschmack kann man erkennen, dass auch noch Bier im Glas hat, allerdings ist es nur so schwach herb, dass man wirklich alle Geschmacksknospen aktivieren muss, um es zu vernehmen. Der Limonadengeschmack überwiegt und klingt auch langsam aus. Interessant ist es - wenngleich man mit anderen Biermischgetränken sicher besser bedient ist. Ein mildes und im Mittelteil auch wässriges Bier. Man kann es durchaus gut trinken, aber ein Biergenuss ist es nicht. Passabel ja, aber nicht mehr. Test vom 27.3.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 9,9,11,9,9,9 - 9,30

Typical average pils here. Pour is a nice blond with a huge white head. Faint aroma of hops but not strong at all. Very clean malty flavor. I had this at the YOHO in Salzburg which is a kick ass place to stay.

Pour is a honey looking yellow with a big white head. Aroma is weak but you get some malts in there. Flavor is mildly sweet and sticky malts. Its ok and easy to drink but that’s about it.

Golden colour. Aroma is grassy-grainy with light alcohol notes. Hazy pilsner body but bland and oily with grassy notes and a finish featuring higher alcohols.

A yellow beer with a huge white head. Both the aroma and flavor is sweet malty. A quite simple beer.

An orange beer with a disappearing head. The aroma is sweet matly with quite a lot of hops. the flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of straw and lesser notes of oranges.

Called Marzen. Hazy gold with floaties. Malt and cereal aroma with signs of maderization/honey. Confirmed in the tatse, this beer is oxidized, but light hops are notes in finsih.

Bottled, from Whole Foods, Chicago. Well, what did I expect? It’s Sprite with beer in it. I’m told the mixture is popular in the Germanic areas, where it’s sometimes called "bicyclist’s beer." The lemon soda flavor pretty much overwhelmed any substantial beer flavor. There is definitely beer in the aroma, though, but it's hard to tell just what kind. It also has a bit of a saccharine taste that’s off putting. Mixing in soda would make this a low-alcohol brew, I suppose, so it certainly does the job it’s advertised for.

This is a new one for me. I have never encountered this brewery before. The bottle talks a good talk, but somewhere along the way the walk got tripped up. Sampled from the typical 16.9 oz bottle the beer poured an opaque dark grey-tan reminiscent of the usual Pennsylvania mud puddle. At least there was a creamy medium sized white head to go with this. Overall a rather ugly beer though. The scent was of sharp citrus tang and some wheat notes. The flavor was tangy and citrusy with a dark bready wheat flavor. There was a bit of bitterness on the finish. Overall the beer lacks any true complexity but thank heavens it at least tastes better than it looked. This was an ok wheat but certainly not one I would purchase again given how many better brews are available.
