Description
Stiegl is a private brewery with a long tradition. For more than 525 years, sustainability, regionality, local added value and above all the quality of our beers and services have been our top priority. However, this quality is only possible because we only use the best local raw materials. The values to which we have been committed since the brewery was founded in 1492 have made us Austria's leading private brewery.

The brewery's success is inextricably linked to the name "Kiener". The brewery has been owned by the Kiener family for more than 120 years. Since 1990 Heinrich Dieter Kiener (III) is at the helm of the company.

Beer number three at the 31st May 2026 Bandstand Beer Gathering in Shrewsbury, five of us sharing stuff. Cheers Snooky for this fruity shandy. It's a shandy with grapefruit in it, end of.

Half liter draft at Grunauer in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a darker golden with a pure white foamy head. The aroma is softly sweet cereal grain malt, herbal hop and faint earthiness. The taste is sweet malt, a hint of apple fruit, herbal grass, and closes with a nice mineral earth. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and the dry mineral finish. Great beer for the Grunauer patio.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of bready pale malt and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready pale malt and herbal hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average carbonation. Thin, but refreshing and crushable. Good for what it is.
