On tap at Ninkasi Craft Beer House, Rome. Purple with white head. Fruity, vinous, cherries, juicy, tad sweet, medium sourness, acidic. Soft texture. Medium bodied.
World class slightly fruited geuze. Just fantastic. Super clean ferment. Great blend. Just wonderfully done. Mild fruit just rounds it out perfectly. 3/4 milano

Straight up bitter. But cleanly so. Not my kinda beer. Bit at least it’s well done for what it is. Amber yet not malty. 3/4 milano
At 3/4 Milano. Not sure about the bad ratings here. This is a top notch geuze. Just super clean bright and lively while remaining neutral with everything coming from fermentation.
Really top notch lambic. Not fruited. Just clean and crisp and pure. 3/4 Milano. Sinilar to cantillon

Dry clean, very neutral, quite wine-like grapes taste. But a pretty nice started cider that isn’t sweet and fruit forward. Boniforte cider milano

Tap at Ballarak, Palermo, Sicily, 1st August 2020. Pours black, like a stout. Aroma is dark and roasted malts, citrus. Taste is good and bitter, cocoa, citrus and roasted malts. Really pleased to find a BIPA in Palermo.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours fairly hazy, dark blonde, with very fine white foam. Aroma is delicate of candy, malty, fruity. Body is marginally above average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium sweet, with a decent underlying bitterness. Final is average.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up in Italy five years ago, give or take. Pours thick black-brown with a creamy, beige head. Rich peat character, some secondary bittersweet chocolate, roast, moss, earth, nips of alcohol and raisins, old wood. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Warming finish, lightly sticky, lots of peat, smoky notes, more dark chocolate, some fudge. Dominant peat, so if you like that, and I do, you would like this.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at an off licence in Lucca, Italy as I recall, about five years ago. Pours black-brown with very little head. It's a nice old-school impy stout, moderately sweet, with a lot of ashy roast, scorched earth, bitter dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more bitter ashy roast, baking cocoa, a few raisins, burnt caramel. Good stuff.
