(Bottle) Golden yellow colour with white, disappearing, head. Distinctly hoppy nose with flowers, grass and herbs, distinct notes of grapefruit and underlying malt. Malty and hoppy taste with herbs, citrus (grapefruit) and pine neddles. Floral, dry bitterness in the finish. Malty, but fairly thin. Rather one-dimensional, but the lovely hop character makes this very enjoyable. One of their best.

Draught. Almost opaque black, small tan head. All I can get as a nose is diacetyl. Roasted, light, but balanced. Taste is much better than the aroma.

(Draught, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep. Rerate: draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 Nov -06) Very dark brown, almost black, colour with a beige frothy head. Roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, cocoa, tobacco and citrussy hops. Very well balanced. Taste is roasted with lots of chocolate, cocoa, coffee and the same citrussy hop character, notes of juniper berries. Dry, light to medium body. Very well balanced and tasty.

Bottle - Bruxellensis Festival. Gold with off white head. Some sickly malt, but then lovely hop. Love the hop on this beer. Lovely to drink. Thanks to Dan Shelton for a great selection of beers over the next couple of hours.

[Bottled] Deep golden with a dense head. Good lacing. Love the aroma: floral hop and citrus. Big hoppy bitternes against a malty background. One of the best lagers I’ve ever had.
