Bottle: Poured a chemical-like yellow color beer with no head and faint carbonation. Aroma of fake pineapple is all over this. Taste is entirely covered by the pineapple syrup and leave little place to lambic. Can’t really say I care for this one but boy am I curious to taste the unblended lambic from De Troch.

(Bottle 25 cl) Comes as "Chapeau Tropical" at 3% ABV. Another bizarre fruit beer from De Troch, so far the pineapple beer has been the most weird, but this comes a close second. Hazy yellow, not much head. Weak body, sweetish. Banana flavour is present but not overpowering. More soda pop than beer, but not really unpleasant though. 260499

(Bottle 25 cl) Reddish brown, off white head and a slight haze. Strawberry flavour is very strong but appears authentic. Sweet yes, but not stickingly so. Not a bad choice for a fruit beer. 030998

(Bottle 25 cl) Dark golden with a small head with a great fizz. Starts sweet only to be relieved by tartness - and then the two impressions blend beautifully into a row of incredibly refined flavours of which nuts seems to dominate my buds. Excellent and several points better than the Chapeau fruit beers. 280598

Hazy faded golden lambic with a thin white head. Smells like a pineapple lollipop, rather chemical in nature. In mouth, sickly sweet dentist room pineapple chloride teeth whitener, with some saving grace, the light tartness and faint horseblanket final.

(Bottle 25 cl) It’s really either/or with the De Troch fruitbeers. Some are fresh and delicious - others are stickingly sweet and then there are those completely awful. This belongs in the last category. Amber coloured with only a small head. Tart, synthetic and artificial flavors - this really is foul. Not a beer to drink for pleasure. 210598

(Bottle 25 cl) The secret about apreciating the De Troch fruitbeers is not considering them beer but rather softdrinks. Then you’re much better in sync with what you have in your glass. Pale orangey golden with a small head. Rather sweet and light-bodied with a faint tart finish. Oddly enough this hasn’t much peach flavour. 120598

(Bottle 25 cl) Only 1,5% ABV in my version. So far I haven’t really been all too impressed by the sticky, sweet De Troch fruit beers. But no rules without an exception. And actually this pineapple-beer is rather refreshing although I seriously doubt that the flavours are completely authentic. But don’t consider this a beer. rather a softdrink for hot summer days. 260498

Hazy orange-foxy beer; small white rim. Carboard, wet velvet, bit of wood, faint fruit - but peach?? Seems oxydized, but is nowhere near the BBD yet. Something sweet, and something tart in the taste. Woody - or triplex, maybe with some glue. Again fruit (dried apricot?), yes, but very faint. Some tartness, some slick sweetness; dry-out effect all the same. Again, not really bad. But not very enjoyable neither. Little sweetness, but what there is, seems chemical.

Dirty gray-pink head, very persistent for fruit-lambic; very deep burgundy red colour. Raspberry jam nose, little kernels of the raspberries. Nothing else. Strange. It’s not even sweet, let alone overly sweet. Serious dose of lactic acid, some acetic, and -heh, heh - citric acid. Raspberry flavours, as in jam, but neither artificial, neither syrupy sweet. However, all my co-tasters declare it cloying sweet!! Is this a (lucky) misser or am I going bonkers? I could actually like this. Some acidburn; not thin but fruit-body. Well. Sorry guys, they did it right this time... well, IMO anyway
