Tan-foxy brown beer, clear; just a slim plaque for head. Nose as from soured beer, acetic acid; bit raisin-like as well. Sweet-sour, woody, and obvious taste as from candi syrup. Quite true to style in fact. More fruit acids, here, quite fruity in character in general. Still - a tad artificial. Sugar syrup slickness, not much real body. Oh well, not too bad - certainly wouldn’t refuse it when offered.

Apricot aroma, but also yeast and some barnyard, lambic weirdness. Dark orange, cloudy. Very sweet, with lots of apricot, some sugar, and a light, strange lambic flavor. This beer lacks complexity but what is there is pleasant.

(Bottle 25 cl) Just what I’ve always been dreaming of: a beer made with juice from cherry plums.... Hazy yellow with an absent head, rather flat with a cloyingly sweetness. Yes, it does taste like fruit, and perhaps even cherry plums. But this is more pop than beer. 310797

(Bottle 25 cl) Darkisk red with no head to speak off. Sickingly sweet with pretty much none of the acidic, refreshing edges usually found even in commercial krieks. Add to this a tang of cork and you get a beer that has failed almost completely. 220297

Draught Hazy, pink color, quite unusual for a kriekenlambiek. No head off course. Nose of earth and cask wood. Acetic flavour.

Draught Hazy, orange body. No head. Lightly citrus aroma. Moderately acidic, lightly bitter initial flavour. Lightly acidic short finish. Lightly bodied, flat carbonation.

Cloudy yellow. Many bubbles but no sediment. Light fruity aroma. Sweet, with some sour taste at the end. A good fruit beer, but it is the least lambic like of any of the line I have had.

Bottled. Hazy red opaque colour, reddish foay head. Strong sweet cherry aroma. Semibitter cherry flavour with some strawberryish notes. Standard Kriek, but the colour was surprising.

Oh lord this is foul!! Like watching a video on Fox called, "When fruit attacks." or "When good fruit goes bad." Fantastically syrupy, powdery, simple, fake, insipidly sweet. Lambic quality is brutally bashed to death by syrupy raspberry. Pink color, some haziness with more bubbles for head. It even smells like it is going to be too sweet. MRomero notes the sweet mashed bananas as well, and I agree. Medium body, though it is all due to the fruit syrup and sugar, otherwise this would be a mess of fake, watery garbage. Strange, considering the stawberry version is actually decent.

Undated bottle at Julios Spring Beer Fest, 04/02/05. Light pink-red, like an unripe strawberry. Small cover of bubbles diminishes immediately, a bit of cloudiness. Smells lightly sweet, but has real enough strawberry essence aroma, mixed with a little cask wood and a touch of dry, lightly tart yeast. Flavor, while sweet, was not powdery, syrupy or terribly artificial, not like the mirabelle or framboise. Body is medium, with a touch of fruit syrup, a light zest of carbonation for texture and a hint of tartness on the finish. Oak does not dry the flavor out well enough, though at least it is not dominant, but can be noted. Just needs a good deal more lambic quality and less fruit, in my opinion, though to be fair, there is some lightly tart yeast, to call it funky might be pushing it, however.
