Nonic pint nitro draft at O'Donnabháin's Gastro Bar in Kenmare, County Kerrry, Ireland. The pour is jet black with a tight ½ inch light khaki head. The aroma is roast, bread and soft malt sweetness. The taste is super clean softly sweet malt, the toasted bread and roast carrying the whole flavor. The palate is medium bodied, soft nitro and roast crisp dry finish. Very nice expression of an Irish Stout, certainly the best Stout I had on my trip to Ireland.

Bottle at home. Pours a light yellow, thin white head. Slight floral hop aroma with biscuity dusty malt aroma. Flavour is equally bland and malt forward, slight floral hop notes, some tea-like quality here.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Nice cocoa aroma with roast, and a light vegetal hint. Rather dry flavor, roasty, with cocoa, some coffee, and a bitterish finish with a "green" hint. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle from Tesco, Longford [251215]
#300 Beer / Cider from Ireland rated
Light golden, clear , thin white head (3)
Aroma - Awful plastic and TCP nose (0)
Taste - Vile massive plastic, TCP, chlorine, undrinkable, horrendous (0)
Palate - Medium carb, light body. Vile flavour destroyed the palate (0)
Overall - Disgusting and undrinkable. I didn’t swallow any of it and mouth had to be washed out. Waste of money. The batch should have be thrown down the drain and never bottled and sold....will re-rate if anyone gives me another bottle to try...
