Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy white head. The aroma is dry yeast acid apple sour. The flavour is moderate sour with a watery sour apple infected medicinal palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Took a few sips and poured the rest away. Absolutely awful. This really should not be sold commercially. The bottle was fresh too. I only bought it a week before. The THT date was May 2015. I will be avoiding anything from this brewery in future.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, acid, apple. The flavour is light sour with a light acidic sour palate. Not much to say about this. If this was the way it was meant to be i’d be surprised. Pretty awful. I drank a third of the bottle and drain poured the rest. Waste of money.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear golden color, medium sized quickly diminishing off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweetish, lightly fruity and maybe a slight hint of herbs or spices. More fruity than I had expected which imo is a good thing. Decent body, a bit firm carbonation.

Fles 33cl thuis. Zurig, rood fruit, drogig, geuzig. Niet alledaags voor een Dunkler Bock. (5-2014).

33 cl bottle bought in Groningen some 2 months ago. Hazy amber color. Off white head, quickly receding. Aroma’s: sweetbread, light hints of alcohol, whisky-ish/peaty, and some sour notes. Much more sourness retronasal. Flavor is full on sour. Meh. Medium bodied etc. Drain pour.
