Bottle @ Hotelroom in Alkmaar. Dark orange color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, decently hoppy, decently bitter. Nothing special but it’s an ok beer.

33cl Bottle at De Kleine Deugniet. Black colour, beige-brown head. Aroma of hard-roasted malts, tar, leather, some chocolate mousse, coffee. Flavour is likewise, firmly dry and bitter, light smokey, roasted. Good stuff. Medium bodied.

33cl Bottle at Kooltuintje. Murky brown colour, no head. Aroma of beechwood smoke and caramel, toffee, fruits. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, fruity, toffee, beechwood smoke, soft bitterness. Medium bodied. Nice.

27MAY2017 33cl Bottle at Kooltuintje. Hazy golden amber colour, thin white head. Aroma of light fruity hops, some floral notes. Flavour is watery, light fruity, light malty, light bitter finish. Light bodied. Lacks in all departments. Re-rate 16JUN2018 Bottle sample at NHBF'18. Better than previous try. A bit soapy, lavender, gooseberries, Mosaic hops, some lychee. Not bad, still no favourite. 736312 = 3.1

33cl Bottle at Kooltuintje. Hazy deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and grapefruit, citrus, mango. Flavour is medium sweet, soft caramel, fruity, decent hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Smooth, a bit simple but tasty. Went down well at 30 degrees.

33 cl bottle @ home. Black color. Big brown head. Aroma’s of smoked malts, light roast. Retronasal it’s smoked, sweet, vanilla, roasted. Flavor is light sweet with some smoky/roasty bitterness. Under medium bodied (could be a bit fuller). Rather high carbonation. Finishes roasty bitter. Apart from body and carbo, this is excellent.

33cl Bottle from Hoop. Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, light resin, light fruity, some caramel, smells like an English Ale / ESB. Flavour is light to medium sweet, light fruity, floral, hint of citrus, light resin, bitter finish. Light bodied. Decent if not very outspoken beer. Would classify this under an English style, not Belgian.

Bottle shared at LiB festival. Almost black with dark beige head. Lots of ash, campfire, light coffee, dried meat, soft citrus fruits, caramel. A bit all over the place. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied.
