Bottle @ home. Quite hazy orange color, average sized off-white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma indeed has some of the hops the label mentions, apart from a regular malty base. The flavor has them too in the distance, but unfortunately it’s also a bit buttery. Think this would have been quite a decent blond beer when it was fresh, but the buttery flavors are just not good. Nonetheless, still drinkable and I’ve chosen just to ignore the bad flavors and focuss on the hops in the background. Benefit of the doubt sort of speak cause the their first beer was quite nice.

Bottle at de Boom Alkmaar, 5 cl sample. Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma has mostly roast and coffee, bit milk chocolat, but hardly any vanilla. Sweet and roasty bitterness. Decent beer, but lacks vanilla for a vanilla stout.
