Bottle. Bitter and slightly aromatic. Pretty standard bottled bitter........

Light amber color. A dry Bitter, with a light hoppy nose and a quite strong final bitterness.

Amber colour with shortlived head as it should be on a bitter. Apple and hop aroma. Rich flavour, initially with a sweet/acid apple flavour and a long lasting bitterness.

Cask Conditioned
Copper color. Nice grassy, earthy aroma. Smooth, salty, but maybe too simple body. The end is a bit watery.

Bottled
Dark amber color, nice big off-white foamy head, lace. Light hoppy aroma. Quit thin body, some bitter in the finish. Quite similar to Black Sheep’s Special Ale. (5/4/6/3/12 3.0)

Copper brown, good head. Sweetish, aromatic hoppy nose. fruity, trefoil-flavor. Bitterish, lacks a good malt profile. (6/3/5/3/11 2.8)

Bottled
Deep amber brown color. Beautiful off-white head with big bubbles, lace. Aroma is metallic, slightly hoppy. Quite thin body. Bitter aftertaste with some toffee in it. Propably a good session beer. (4/4/7/3/12 3.0)

This Ale pours a dark orange colour with a off white rocky head. Scents include the old malt 'n' metal combination...with a small amount of citrus and spice. Carbonation is nice with a initial moderate bitter flavour. Quite sour. Finishes very bitter. Palate? disintegrating bitterness........

As they describe, it's a deep chestnut brown, though it has a big red tinge to it. Mostly clear with a large medium-sized, creamy eggshell colored head. Smells of wet grass, light watery coffee beans, some milk and maybe a hint of ripe red fruits. Begins with a slightly creamy, slightly fluffy mouthfeel, gaining malt flavor as the medium body sets in. Light fruit flavors of cherries and light milk chocolate make themselves known. Finish gains some bitterness, and a touch of lemon merengue even. Some brown sugar and a hint of roast are present on the very end and aftertaste. Lightly astringent with a touch of thinning, but very clean and just sweet enough to be balanced. The longer it warms, and the slower I drink it, as usual per the style, the more I get out of it. Very good, not as much depth of malt or exciting hops/fruit flavors as Fuller's Vintage ales, but then, it does not seem to be trying to be a beer of that magnitude. The low alcohol is wonderful as well.

An amber beer with a fine though disappearing head. The aroma is sweet malty with clear notes of yeast and caramel. The flavor is somewhat weird; sour and with a weird hop note. It starts out sweet malty but then gets dominated by sour oranges.
