Description
In 1992, Paul Theakston took a daring leap into the unknown. As a fifth generation brewer of his family company, he chose to leave T&R Theakstons following its sale to a national brewery. Instead, he chose to champion independent brewing in Yorkshire and built his own brewery in the very same town, Masham. The brewhouse contains a mixture of tradition and innovation, using the Yorkshire Square Fermentation system which we hold dearly. Our original brewhouse was built from reclaimed equipment which we still use to this day.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear amber colour with a big off-white head. Aroma of dried apricots, fudge, orange peel, white bread, pale malt and grass. Flavour of grass, fudge, grassy hops, orange peel, leather and toast. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a soft to medium bitterness. Decent enough.

Cask @ The Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton prior to Derren Brown. Clear gold pour, decent white cap. Standard fruity golden bitter, malt-led with a bitter finish. Ok, but nothing 'special' about it.
