Sampled from bottle at NHB 2016. Sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of vanilla, honey and clove. Sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy taste of some honey, banana and clove, followed by a short, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Heyloo Bier Heilooër Blond ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, straw, marzipan malt, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, grain, sweet malt, pale malt. Bottle. It’s a hazy, yellow-golden beer with some microfloaties and with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma is quite fruity, but there’s also lots of spent pale malts which I don’t appreciate very much. Some white sugar. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a creamy carbonation, quite dry, even though there’s a good dash of sugar in the flavor. Fruityness and a nice bitterness too, and a lasting finish. A decent one, but too grainy. 141024
