Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into weizen glass. Slightly hazy golden with fluffy white head. Aroma is smoke, medium body, well carbonated, and good big-bubble lacing. Taste is really nice smoke, tart, and some juniper. Nice smoked beer.

Bottle shared on Level 42 9/3/16. Many thanks to Paul, A dull brown orange coloured pour with a small halo of white head. Aroma is tangy orange musty, airy, dusty, grainy. Flavour is composed of green apple, grainy husks, musty sourness. Palate is tangy, grainy, moderate carbonation . Tangy apple lingers. Not a huge fan of this.

Bottle shared on the 42nd floor - many thanks to Paul. Pours hazy golden brown with a slight, filmy head. The aroma has some lightly toasted malts, hints of lemon. Light sweet flavor with mild acidity, more lemons, bread, tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean on the finish with some toasty cereal, wheat, lemony tartness. Tasty beer.

Bottle split at the level 42 tasting, thanks to Bropey, 09/03/16. Murky orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is pissy lemon, straw, grain, toasted bread. Taste comprises tangy citric peel, light acidic bite, damp straw, earthy, damp cloth, vegetal notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering effect. So so sour, a touch bereft of character.

Bottle at level 42. It pours murky light brown pond water with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is earthy, woody, old leather sofa, light spice and dull toffee. The taste is slightly watery, tangy, dull sourness, dried fruits, bit of sherbet, wood and leather with short, dry woody finish. Light body and low carbonation. A bit bland and watery. Interesting idea, but pretty so-so.

Dark amber-color with creamy beige head. Aroma is smoked ham, tart berry fruits. Taste is smokey, dark malts, a fresh fruity tartness which just gives a hint of a Berliner Weisse feeling before the malt body takes over again and makes it clear that there is a lot of ABV in this brew. A bit of a Balsamico feeling as well. Well-balanced and superbly drinkable, but it has an idea of a booziness, at least it?s a bit warming. It already shows hints of johannisbeeren, which makes me want to drink the Johannisburger version again. Very fine-bubbled carbonation. Good brew!
