330ml bottle from Morrisons - Pours black with light brown head. Roasted malt and caramel on the nose. Palate is medium bodied, balanced and malty with caramel flavours and roasted nut on the back palate. This is a very nice beer.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Xingu Gold ].Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy malt, light to moderate hoppy, herbs, citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, herbs, hoppy, grass, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140328]

Bottle, Xingu Black Beer. Clear, dark brown. Creamy, light tan head. Light aroma, roast, hints of hops and nuts. Flavour is sweetish, fruity with roasted malt. Creamy mouthfeel, light bittersweet finish.

Half liter bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear pale golden color with a large creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart fruits, yeast, pale malts. The taste is pale malt, grain, grassy hops, mild earth and a tart fruit finish. Thin-medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness, overall fairly odd.

Helles goldenes Bier mit etwas Schaum. Geruch leicht hopfig fruchtig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, hopfig, ok!

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was somewhat dark and a slight brown around the edges. The head was about a finger’s worth of white foaminess that dissipated within about thirty seconds. The lacing, well, it slides for the most part.
The smell didn’t really have much but what was there was a light roasty coffee aroma trying to run about but ends up coming across extremely light.
The taste was basically the same as the smell.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and decent for the style.
Overall, I say this was a good Schwarzbier I could have again.
