Description
In 2011 we Howling Hops reopened the Cock tavern on Mare street as Hackney’s first brewpub. The brewery expanded a few times but still couldn’t really keep up with the demand. So in 2015 the brewery moved to the current address in the heart of Hackney Wick.
Howling Hops brew bold, modern, uncompromised, flavoursome, generously hopped beers. All our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurised and suitable for vegans. We still stick to our early philosophy of ‘make some interesting beer’, although not every one is different these days. We have a core of 4 beers that we brew regularly, a couple of beers we brew seasonally and every 3 or 4 weeks we brew a different single batch beer.

Cask@The Cock Tavern, London. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, fruity, mildly eggy notes (we were warned, it might still be a bit off in the aroma, so the eggyness is not counted into score given for aroma). Flavour is fruity, floral, quite hoppy and rather citrusy. Also has some bready and crisp maltyness to it.
