Description
Gosnells was founded by Tom Gosnell in 2014 after he was inspired to turn his hand to experimenting with mead during a trip to the USA. As an avid home brewer of cider and perry, Tom had brewing experience that he quickly applied to developing our signature style of light, crisp, sparkling mead. From those early days our team and brewery has grown, but our aim remains the same: to re-popularise mead and bring it back to the people.

330ml bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras. Hazy yellow colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of honey with floral & herby notes. Flavour is mellow honey, sweet, some citric lemon, and floral, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Interesting, quite OK.

330 ml bottle. Clear, pale straw yellow body without any head but lively carbonation. Aroma is mild honey and lemon. Flavor is sweet and a bit sour at the same time. Flowers, perfume and honey almost in the background. Medium to thin body with short aftertaste. A bit strange for a mead and not particular good really. Still no real off flavors.

On tap at Cider Tap, Euston. Hazy yellow colour, white foam head leaving lacing and green fruit aroma. Taste is kiwi fruit, floral, honey, sweetish sugary with a note of hay. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, low carbonation, dry floral finish. Interesting, quite OK.

330ml bottle from Favourite Beers. Hazy pale yellow colour, tiny white head. Aroma of honey, floral, citrus. Taste is sweet, honey, kind of citrussy and fruity. Dry finish. Carbonation is soft-medium but I was surprised there was any at all, the low ABV was also surprising. An atypical mead, but drinkable stuff.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours hazy milky lemon with no head. The aroma is sweet, tangy, fruity, honey, wax, creaminess, gorse and a touch of lime. The taste is bitter - sweet, tangy, limeade, kiwi, tangy honey, sugar and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Simple and pretty drinkable stuff.

Bottle shared in Watford - thanks to Fergus. Pours hazy yellow with a slender white film. Light lemony notes in the nose, subtle honey, pale bread. Medium sweet flavour, lightly syrupy, with citrus notes, undertones of honey. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Sugary finish with biscuit notes, soft honey notes, a little citrus. Nice one.
