(Can) Pours clear pale gold with decent loose white head. Classic Pilsner aroma of grassy vegetable hops. Light body, well carbonated. The hops lead the flavour with herbal vegetable notes. Hints of lemon and a little sweetness in the mid palate. Can’t say I can taste the seaweed. Nice pils.

Can, 4.2% ABV. Somewhat cloudy orange with a briefly fluffy white head. Aroma of mandarin, pasionfruit, hay. Dryish and cleaner than it looks with light hayish malt, citrus and tropical notes, a little resin. Bitter enough to snap at the end. Good dustcutter.

Can. Hazy orange with a collapsing frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruit - passionfruit, pineapple mainly - tautened by a bit of citrus, light bread. A little vacant in the middle - although nothing like as much as the mid-strength version - but fruity and slightly astringent before moderate bitterness. Pretty good.

Keller Door Limited Release means cans exclusively piled in a heap at Dan Murphy, it seems. Very dark red brown with a light tan head that faded to the rim whilst I was checking whether it glinted like a flickering flame. Mocha aroma with some roast, caramel and bread. Soft textured and gently sweet with less roasted notes than suggested by the aroma. Modest but sufficient bitterness. Decent quaffer.

Keg at Munich Brauhaus, Melbourne. Cheaper than the imported lagers! Amber looking but somewhat lacking in oomph in terms of flavour and bitterness.

Schooner on tap at Commercial Hotel, Redbank. Crystal clear amber beer with a thin white head. Medium carbonation. Sharp grainy nose. Malty taste, sweet finish. Very easy drinking, finish is not as dry as you would expect in a 'Japanese' lager. Nice alternative to the usual suspects.
