On tap at Old Stove - Gardens, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is full orange and grapefruit zest, orange marmalade, some piney hops, and dry caramel malt. Flavour is much the same, with bitter orange peel, some orange marmalade, juicy pithy stone fruits, and just enough malt to back. Finished with bitter grapefruit peel and orange marmalade. Good stuff.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Barrel Bash (Big Wood) 2023, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals orange peel, murky roasted malt, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is full of big bourbon barrel notes, tons of vanilla, complemented by moderate orange peel, and finishing on chocolate. Love the massive bourbon character that complements the chocolatey character. Lovely.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8

On tap at Old Stove - Ballard, pours an opaque dark burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma brings out gentle bourbon upfront, with some vanilla, bready toffee, and some brown sugar. Flavour is rounded and malty, with plenty of toffee, vanilla, bourbon and some sugars. Nicely sweet, with expert use of the barrels. For a style I think shouldn't exist (use barley!), this is very well-done.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6

On tap at Old Stove - Ballard, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal notes, straw and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is mineraly, with toasted grains, straw and a hint of herbaceous. A bit too seltzery on the palate and not herbaceous enough. Not quite on target but it's drinkable.

Has a nice bite, which indont often find in a hazy, but this one drinks different. Fresh hops with a classic feel. Very good.
