Established in 2015, we are a 10BBL brewery based in the Neepsend area of Sheffield. Originally based just up from the Ball Street bridge over the River Don which inspired our logo, we moved round the corner into 92 Burton Road in 2020 and share the area with a host of other makers, doers and independent businesses, as well as several other breweries.

Can. Beer Central. Mostly clear gold. Thin lasting sticky white foam. Biscuit malts with sweet ripe citrus and sappy pine. Taste has some biscuit sweetness before a pithy oily full on bitterness. Nicely full mouthfeel with fine brisk carbonation. Oily citrus bitterness to finish. Either it’s me that’s changed or Neepsend have upped their game considerably lately.

Cask. Wellington. As Neepsend Kipa. The “Brew” is superfluous. Clear gold. Tight white head. Lightly bready malt. Bit of herbal spice hop leaf. Some lemon. Good body. Easy drinking affair in good nick. Crisp bitter finish.

Cask. Boozer formerly known as Smelly Welly, although it’s not smelly anymore, thankfully. Anyhoo. Clear as a bell pale gold. Tight white head. Fairly crisp malts, with a light buttery undertone. Bright floral fruity hop. Clean overall. Nice well kept hote golde.

Hand-pulled pint at the Wrekin Inn, on 28th February 2024. Took a while to clear but once it did I got a very clean golden body with a gleaming white crown. Dull citrus nose and taste, dirty farmyard hints in the finish.

Cask at the Wellington, Sheffield on 14th February 2024. Slightly hazy gold with whitish foam and partial lacing. Grassy hoppiness throughout with citrus zest. Full bodied with an engaging texture.

Cask at the Fat Cat, Sheffield on 14th February 2024. Clear gold with shallow white foam and full lacing. Rich malt and grassy hoppiness in aroma. Berry fruits and bitterness in-mouth, and a finish of stone fruits and biscuit malts. Medium bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel.
