Bottle (2018) from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Opaque dark brown, nice ring of head and viscosity, trace lacing. Aroma is strong, earthy malts--somewhat peaty--light bourbon. Taste is strong, earthy malt, late dark fruit, subtle bourbon. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Holding up pretty well for 8 years!

22 oz bottle shared by tfontana. Thank you! Vintage 2018. Aroma is soft smoke, subtle bourbon, dark fruit. Flavor is subtle smoke, roasted malt, and A note of dark fruit. Maybe plum good mouthfeel and has a medium body. Lightly sweet, low bourbon.

In a flight at the Pizza Store by OC Local on 20th April 2026. Clean and clear golden body, white crust. Decent ECIPA with citrus and piney hips in both the nose and taste, good refreshing bite to it.

On a flight at the OC Local Taproom on Saturday 18th April 2026. Clean and clear body, very pale golden colour, white crust on top. Slight citrus leanings, light and refreshing rather than 'in your face' IPA.

Mine said 12% (2025 edition, presumably). Dark brown, not much head, lots of bourbon, balanced brown sugar, alcohol, I’ll say a fairly simple construction, but well-made.

Pale, bright. Medium head. Smokey, light, mild acidity, that oak-smoked malt is always so dominant. It's a good grod but I know this style has other levels.
