Cask. Old Bell, Harrogate. Very dark, chocolate brown. Thin, dense, lasting, tan head. Good looker. Nose has milky coffee. Chocolate powder. Some vanilla, or it might be almond. Taste is light sweet, with some earthy, coffee bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Earthy finish. First Bad Seed Iโ€™ve had in an age, and itโ€™s a cracker.

Cask-conditioned at the Eagle & Child, York 5/11/2017. Medium brown in colour, with a tight, off-white, head. A hoppy brown ale, with notes of brown sugar, berry fruits and citrus hops, bready malts and a gentle finish. Good.

Hazed golden color with a fine white top. Ok lacing down the sides of the glass. Looks good. Fine hoppy aroma with a pleasant intensity. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Pleasant and easy to drink. Malty, fruity, citric and mild pine in the flavor. Lovely cask ale.
