Tap at the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy broken tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, dry coffee, liqourice, chocolate, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a smooth rich smoky liqourice light molasses, light spice palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Cask at the brewery. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is biscuit malt, yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, light malty, floral hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at the brewery. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is grassy hop, citrus fruit, pine needle. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a grassy woody hop bitter light fruit palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses, Stourbridge. Pours black with a small head. Aroma is liquorice and sweet coffee. Taste is sweet roast to start and a sweet coffee finish.

Keg at brewdog Edinburgh. Pours black, nose is roasted coffee, toffee, chocolate, taste is sweet, chocolate, toffee, chewy, coffee.

Cask at the Red Lion, Amblecote. Pours gold with a small head. Aroma is grassy lime. Taste has sweet grass to start with a limey citrus finish.

Keg at BD Soho, 21/10/16. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is big on coffee beans, sweet malt base, toasted brown sugar. Taste comprises coffee grinds, light spice, charr, chocolate, toffee fudge, roast malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Solid coffee stout.

Cask at Birmingham Beer Festival 2016; clear golden yellow pour with a bubbly white head, aroma has citrus and hints of pine, taste has crisp citrus, sweet malts quite refreshing.
