Can from Hogs Back Brewery shop. Pine and resin and. Hazy amber. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. Citrus and spice marmalade. Some quinine. Light bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Dry finish. Drinks like a session IPA. Enjoyable stuff.

Pretty enough, but overly sweet, with a heavy, grainy corn backbone too sugary for the other subtle lager elements to shine. Hints of vanilla and white bread on the middle, and a mild lemon streak pops up on the back end, but the soul of the beer is the sweetness. Hard to finish a pint, especially after it warms.

355ml can from Angels Cut, Darlington. Orangey gold colour, big foamy white head leaving little lacing and aroma of floral citrus hoppy. Taste is sweetish, malt caramel, toffee, with floral citrusy pine and earthy resiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry tangy bitter finish. Quite OK IPA

Licorice, chocolate, and bourbon. Indulgent, but in a good way. Not overly sweet, but holy hell at the whiskey...which isn’t a complaint. Tasty. Deserves more notes, but I gotta go grocery shopping.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Drewcifer Coconut & Vanilla variant on tap at TailGate Music Row. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that lingers, then dissipates. Huge coconut forward nose with vanilla and bourbon as it warms. Thick mouthfeel and great body. A lot of adjunct heavy imperial stouts are too thin...not this one. More bourbon, oak and vanilla as it warms. Sweet, but the malt and toasted coconut bring some balance that cuts the vanilla sweetness. Really fantastic BA adjunct heavy impy. The coconut has none of that unwanted suntan lotion taste...all toasted dry coconut. Really great. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Coconut Drewcifer on 04 Jan 2019 at 21:55 - Score: 9. Original review text: Huge coconut forward nose with vanilla and bourbon as it warms. Tick mouthfeel, bourbon & vanilla w/ lingering toasted coconut. Impressed

Bourbon barrel aged Drewcifer Rocky Road variant on draft at TailGate Music Row. Pours a deep brown to black with a small bit of beige head that dissipates quickly. Big marshmallow cream nose with almond extract aromas. Almost like a rocky road birthday cake. You can smell the sugar and sweet off this even when it's cold. Palate is great with a thick creamy texture that coats. The palate is all bourbon and marshmallow cream. All the flavors are there and come together well, but it's so sweet that it gets cloying. 5 oz was totally enough. Texture is heavenly though. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Barrel Aged Drewcifer Rocky Road on 04 Jan 2019 at 21:59 - Score: 7. Original review text: Big marshmallow cream nose w/ almond extract aromas. Sweet aroma & flavors. Thick creamy texture. Bourbon, marshmallow cream. Tad too sweet

Bourbon Barrel Aged Drewcifer coffee variant on tap at TailGate Music Row. Pours a deep brown to black with a a big beige head that dissipates. Huge coffee forward nose that really opens up when it warms and lingers. Turns to cold brew as it warms with just a touch of coffee and cream. Insanely inviting nose. It is a tad thin on the palate but the coffee flavor comes through loud and clear and actually stands out over the bourbon and oak notes. Cold brew, cacao nib more as it warms. Very smooth without being boozy at all. Light bourbon and oak on the finish with a lingering cold brew coffee aftertaste. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee Drewcifer on 04 Jan 2019 at 21:50 - Score: 8. Original review text: Huge coffee forward nose. Turns to cold brew as it warms. Insane. Tad thin on the palate. Cold brew, cacao nib. Smooth. Light bourbon/oak.

Draft at TailGate Music Row. Pours a deep brown to black with a small beige head that dissipates quickly to a ring. First sniff gives way to bourbon and chocolate notes but then tart plum & faint woody Brett notes come out as it warms. Bourbon & light chocolate notes again on the palate, but quite tart. More plum, raisin & Brett. Shame to say but best case scenario there was a sour or bretted beer on tap before this and the lines weren't properly cleaned or worst case scenario some bugs got in the beer and it's infected. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Barrel Aged Drewcifer on 04 Jan 2019 at 21:53 - Score: 5. 330ml can. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is malt, grapefruit citrus, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, fresh, malt, light tart grapefruit, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Light grainy aromas with some toffee and grassy hops. Full bodied on the palate with more a candied nuttiness that makes it a little too sweet for my palate. Honey and bread on the finish. Not really my cup of tea. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lager on 04 Jan 2019 at 21:38 - Score: 5. Original review text: Light grainy aromas with some toffee and grassy hops.
