(Bottle 33 cl) Vintage 2004. Pours a clear, warm amber golden with a dense, beige head leaving some lacework. Very complex, vinous aroma with notes of raisins in rum. Sweet and full body with flavours of dried fruit, vanilla and brown sugar - and again a touch of rum. Not overly sweet and the alcohol is surprisingly well hidden in spite of the total lack of bitterness. The mouthfeel is extremely smooth and soft. 140307

Tap@Kulminator - LCRBM2. Cloudy orange, big creamy lacing head. Light dusty fruit aroma. Deceptively light on the palate, fruity, a bit salt, a herbal edge - hides its strength very well. Was perhaps slightly on the green side when we tasted it.

Deep brown to black body. Creamy, light brown head. Sweet aroma of malts. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavour. Ok balance, not very complex. Ok, but I prefer the normal Pannepot above this and Pannepøt.

Draught at ZBF 2007, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium.
Very dark body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Fruity aroma of apples and wine. Lightlu sweet, moderately sour flavour. Very well balanced and complex. Keep up the good work guys!

Cloudy brownish color, medium head. Aroma is sweet of wheat, malt, chocolat, some yeast, brown sugar. Taste is in between a german dunkelweizen en a belgian double beer, definitely sweet. The soft chocolat tones are delicate. However, other brews of de Struise are way better.

(Bottle 50 cl) My version brewed by Caulier. Hazy golden with a dense and lively, off-white head leaving a broad curtain of laces. Sweetish aroma of caramel and fruit - perhaps a slight maderization. Rather good body, completely dominated by sweet, caramelish malt and brown sugar. Very subdued bitterness. A malt lover’s session beer... 070307

Draught Creamy, yellowish head, disappearing over hazy dark brown beer with orange shine. Woody, chocolate, liquorice, rosewater, sweet brown bread with chocolade spread, but not sweet. Very, very wood-determined taste. Chocolate too, but not bitter, "full" chocolate. Very wry, tart even in the finish, woodstainer. Dry, dry-out effect, restrained alcoholburn, very well-bodied after you’ve swallowed away the wood. A special Pannepot, way less sweet which is good, but also extremely dry and severe. First try on draught, will appear bottled later.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a big longlasting white head. Sweet malty and slughtly fruity spicy aroma with some hints of yeast. Some hints of citrus in the aroma aswell. Sweet malty yeasty and fruity flavor, also hints of warming alcohol and citrus. Sweetish malty finish with some fruitiness in the aftertaste.

Draught: Poured a dark hazy brown with light brown thick fast acting head. The aroma was fruit and acidic. Spicy earthy flavor that finshed dry acidy.

ZBF 2007 Nur ein leichter Geruch ist bei dem Bier zu erkennen, dennoch komplex, fruchtige, süße und hopfige Noten sind vertreten. Der Antrunk ist leicht säuerlich, dies erstreckt sich über das gesamte Bier und nimmt von Zeit zu Zeit kontinuierlich ab. Dazu ist das Bier besonders in seinen Anfangsphasen hopfig und super malzig, die dabei entstehende Süße passt hervorragend zu dem Bier! Eine schöne Fruchtigkeit ist zum Ende hin zu erkennen, der säß-saure Aromenmix ist besonders hervorzuheben.
