On tap at Max's Taphouse. Pours bright hazy yellow. Peach, melon, rubber, orange liqueur, burnt tires. Medium body. Pretty bad.

22oz bottle from Lighthouse Liquor pours a murky black, spitty beige head. Nose was huge with whiskey out the gate but opened to malt and spice and cocoa. Barrel is more round than the nose let's on. Full bodied and round. Woody. 8 4 8 5 15

Hal pour at brewery. Near black pour, ring of beige head. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, raisins. Taste is sweet prune, missing some of the yeasty elements. Prunes and raisins. Sweet, mouthfeel.

8oz pour at Checkerspot. Cloudy dark amber pour, filmy tan head, ring. Toasty aroma, malty. Taste is toasty, more like a brown ale. Not much noticeable rye presence.

Aroma of blackberries with lactic elements. Taste has lightly sour notes with some fruitiness. Palate has distinct tea notes, very muted lactic element that pairs well. Quite good.
