Description
Used to be a client brewer till 2021 brewing circus-themed beers.

In 2021, the brewery moved to the old warehouse at the entrance along Blokkellestraat, which was a workshop of the electricity factory with supply via the railway line that ran next to it. Thanks to the Circus Brewery, it is once again bustling with activity.

Up to 2500 hl of barley water per year, five 1000 l lager and fermentation tanks, two of 2000 l and two of 500 l. The director himself cannot master that much and that is why our beer is also available to you, loyal fans and bon vivants. B'brew came from exotic Roeselare to put together this installation and did an excellent job.

All Circus Brewery classics are brewed here, but other brewers can also lose their beer egg here. A 500 liter installation like ours, which is professionally equipped, is perfect for trying out new recipes by larger breweries or by the hobbyist.

Bottle. Unclear amber with a puffy white head that lasts OK. Candied citrus aroma with somewhat yeasty dough. Quite sweet but also quite bitter with little herbal notes as well as sharpish orange, hints of barely ripe stone fruit. Cleaner than expected at the end. Not bad.

Keg at MSBH 2026. It pours clear blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh and green , fragrant, herbal, lemon verbena, coriander, floury bread and woodruff. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, loaded with herbs, fragrant bay leaf, mixed herbs, lemon verbena, weedy, boozey warmth, earthy, tannin, spice and some underlying estery fruits (incl. pear) with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Thought it would have been too much (and other raters note that it was!), but it wasn't. Feels super fresh. Nice quaff.

Keg at MSBH 2026. It pours clear amber with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is quite green, herbal, weedy, dank, perfumed, orange blossom, zingy citrus, fruits, a touch spicy and verbena..The taste is super dry, pleasing level of bitterness, woody, resin, pine, florals, boozey vibes, citrus peel and crisp biscuit.. medium body and highish, fluffy carbonation. Love the combo here. A flavourful and well judged Belgian IPA. Very fresh.

Bottle at home. Huge white head on top of a clear pale golden colored beer. Aroma is floral and a bit sweetish. Flavor is lightly malts, again sweetish, faintly floral hops. Watery texture, average body, low to average carbonation. Meh.

Good, ever so slightly yellowish head, dense, over hazy, light foxy-amber beer. Exotic fruit, not overly sweet, some rosewater, faint resin. Taste however turns out way too sweet for a true IPA. The C-hops are there, in the background, but the overload of restsweetness dominates. The taste is faintly earthy, rather than resiny. Medium bodied, very well-carbonated; sticky feel in the aftertaste. As said, too sweet an IPA. The name on the bottle mentions "blond", which it isn't really - Fausse blonde?

After an afternoon spent walking, this was the perfect beer. Gotta love that Belgian foam! Surely this must be one of the last Belgian saisons left for me to tick 😉
