Description
For nearly twenty five years, our mission here at Smuttynose has remained the same: to brew the best beer we can in a way we can be proud of. That includes honoring New England’s rich beermaking history, respecting our environment, and playing an active role in our community.
We value creativity, quality, authenticity and sustainability, but it really boils down to making great beers to enjoy with friends and family. We hope you love drinking our beers as much as we love brewing them. Cheers!

Lemongrass and hay nose, surprisingly strong. Clear yellow, medium head. Lemongrass, dandelion, coriander, oat, lilly. Medium body, easy carbonation. Quite flavorful, traditional and non-traditional hops, with a decent malt presence. It probably should be classed as a pilsner.

5 oz. draft. Pale golden appearance. Soft sweet grain, yeast, honey-ish, dry texture with a light lingering yeast. Pretty much it what you would expect for the style.

Can from the mixed 12 pack at Market Basket Brilliant deep yellow in color with a bubbly white head that persists. Bready and light crackery maltiness balanced with earthy floral hops. Medium body moderate carbonation, pretty tasty larger.

5 oz. draft at the Kitchen. Aroma is pretty tame. Flavor shows me Passionfruit-ish, lemon, malt, and crackers. Mostly balanced. Decent amount of fruit. Average.

$3.14 pint can, TWSP. Dark brown, not quite black, with a small tightly-knit brown head. Chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt nose. Chocolate - somewhat candied, roasted/lightly burnt malt, coffee beans. A bit too artificial in the front and a bit too burnt in the back.

Pours clear orange into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Earthy cranberry aromas. Crisp with sweet summer berry upfront turning to tart cranberry before the lasting marshmallow finish. Little to no ginger for me...
