Bottle @ Benzai. Hazy orange colour with a small off-white head. Smells sour, wheat, herbs, green twigs. Tastes sourish, wood, malts, also sweet, herbs. Full body, soft carbo.

Bottle at the Essen OBER Kerstbierfestival 2013. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is rich yeast alcoholic malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a rich boozy alcohol slightly medicinal oaky palate. The alcohol is very evident but it’s well controlled and does not dominate. I need a bottle of this!

Very cloudy light brown colour. Strong syrupy citrus aroma, lots of orange. Flavour has bittersweet orange and a touch of peppery spice. Thick, syrupy and warming.

Bottle sample at Essen Kerstbierfestival. Pours cloudy golden brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dough, yeast, oak and light floral aspects. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Big caramel on the palate and alcohol warmth in the finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Golden white head. Nose is sweet vanilla, sticky, creamy bourbon mixed with zest, lemon, citrus, pretty interesting lovely. Taste is zesty, sweet vanilla, pretty sweet, sticky malts, plenty of creamy bourbon. Substantial body, little carb. Very surprised by this one & currently no issues, lovely, sweet bourbon-rich BE style brew.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Murky orange with an off-white head. Nose is spoiled & mouldy, herbal, old cereals. Taste is bitter, spoiled, mouldy with herbs, cereal, excess yeast, old herbs, touch grains. Thick & boozy body. In my opinion suffers from the infections that house at the ‘t Gaverhopke brewing facility, they had too much time to develop in this beer.
