Opaque black. Almost no head, just a bit tanned foam. Very light aroma: some sweetness and herbal aroma, maybe cassis? Starts watery, then some roasted flavor. After that strong licorice taste and some rubbery tones. Light to medium-bodied. Some bitterness and more licorice in aftertaste. (7/3/6/3/12 3.1)

Lots of licorice and roast in the flavor and aroma. Only slightly rubbery, this is quite close to Koff Porter nowadays. (7/5/8/4/16 4.0)

Ruby color. Small creamy white head. Aroma is fruity and yeasty: strawberries. Mouthfeel starts thin but then you get a complex flavors like strawberry, sweet malt and prunes. Finish is slightly hoppy giving soft bitterness.

Sample draught at Helsinki Beer Festival.
Very dark brown with grassy oily saaz hop character. Medium bodied and quite firm with soft maltiness. Low hop rate, and just about average bitterness. An indivdual cross of beer types. The friendly brewmaster laughed and described it as a too dark IPA with too much malt character, the wrong type of hops and too little bitterness...

Near black with slight beige head. Anise and licorice aroma. Medium bodied and rather sweet with slightly sharp malt character and big coffee flavour. The finish is bitter and grassy. Not really powerful enough for the style.
