Clear, pinkish beer with a bubbly head that soon disappeared. Smell is dry, bitter fruit. Taste has more of a sweet, raspberry tang to it but it doesn't become sickly thankfully because of a decent hop edge on it. Slightly sour raspberry aftertaste. Unspectacular but decent enough and would bit the spit on a bit day.

330ml bottle. Dark pinkish orange with a foamy white head. Tart raspberry aroma that doesn't really carry over to the flavour. There is some raspberry there, but not as much as I expected. Ok

330ml bottle from Gordon and McPhail. Nose is light toffee and a hint of raisins. Clear rusty red with a medium beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with a hint of fruitiness. Mediocre for a barleywine but better than most lagers, hence the rating.
