Bottle at 101 Beer Kitchen. The server needed assistance getting the cork out, but once that task was accomplished, the beer pours a hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Sticky strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, banana and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of tropical fruits, earthy yeast, spice and malt. The finish is fruity with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle: Pours brassy gold with a tall, egg-shell coloured head. Strong orange and coriander scent. Wheat malt, orange-peel, spices in flavour. Sweet with a solid herbal/earthy bitter finish. Very good.

On draught at World of Beer. Pours flat black with a medium light brown head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, fruit and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of bananas, toasted malt and herbal yeast. The finish is fruity with a banana and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Pours a dark brownish-black color with a medium khaki head that dissipates steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roast malt, coffee and yeast in the nose. Medium-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and mildly spicy yeast. The finish is malty up front with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grain and hay with backing notes of grass and belgian yeast. Flavor has more belgian yeast that lends a peppery note with a backbone of grain and grass.

750 mL bottle, thanks to treebute. Pours a slightly hazy yellow, with a big, foamy, white head. Lots of lemon peel, lactic acid, cardamon, and some damp leaves. Sweet and citrusy, with a significant (for the style) hop bitterness and just a hint of spiciness. Light to medium body, lightly bubbly, and clingy. Overall this is a nice looking, aromatic witbier, but too musty and hoppy for the style. Still, drinks well, and is an pretty nice American Wit.
