Just a taster, but that's all I needed. Dark stout color, a thin bit of foam from a can pour. Smell is not just hot chiles, but a light chocolate background, cinnamon, chocolate and vanilla. All of that swirls together in a sweet, hot mess that's what Ilike in a chile beer.

Draught @ the taproom (Jan 2025). opaque dark brown with a very small frothy beige ring of a head, sharp rum aroma, low carbonation, bitter woodsy rum-soy sauce taste with dark toasted malt, thin body, long finish. Very boozy!

Thick and black with a huge foamy dark brown head. Very strong vanilla & almond biscotti, anise, boozy and roasty malt. Very long finish. Thick and full bodied

Draught @ Naperville location. Faintly cloudy dark yellow-orange with a foamy off-white head, citrus peel aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel taste with a bit of piney flavor, thin body, long finish. Delicious WC DIPA.

Tap at Miskatonic. Pretty nice Festbier, sort of Czech Lagery...hop tone reminds me more of an Italian Pils...more earthy, less peppery. Great mouthfeel/body. Good stuff.

Tap at Miskatonic. 11.75% ABV. Heavy maple syrup flavoring..doesn't really come off like the real thing as much as some crappy coffee bar mixer. Cold pressed coffee tone is rather unique, comes out more each taste. 5oz pour is more than enough. Heavy, syrupy. Slow sipper, but just too sweet for me.

Tap at Miskatonic. Really solid for the style. Like most Brother Chimp beers, doesn't come off thin even with the moderate ABV. Not unlike the Czech beers from Miskatonic. Delicate but bright balance. Really well executed.
