Draft. Rich reddish amber beer with a ncie off-white head. Great peach/tangerine aroma that’s slightly sweet. Peach, tangerine, grapefruit flavor with lighte resins and sweet malt backing. Lots of lingering hops. Best of the Summit IPAs I’ve had so far.

Nice sour aroma. Cloudy golden colour, small white head. The flavour is nice and smooth, not very sour. Good, pleasant earthiness. Creamy and good beer.

Batch 001 - PH1 (thanks, Vinnie!). Colour of old gold, tilting towards orange, cloudy; small, vanishing off-white head, fed by lively carbonation. Very lemony nose, lactic acid, some Brett, but restrained, other bugs as well. Extremely complex nose, displaying signs of the best way of careful, monitored aging, ideal for this type of beer. Very sourish oud bruin taste, but nudged towards the lemon/lactic, even citric, rather than towards acetic acids. Some exotic fruit like (not quite ripe) yellow kiwifruit ("Zespri") or unripe peach, as well as roses. Faraway hints at leather. As TAR remarked, there’s iron(oxyde) there too. Sharpish acidburn, wonderfully refreshing, vying with Berliner Weisse. In fact, IMO this has at least as much from Berliner Weisse as from Oud Bruin. But it is way more complex than any BW, goes much deeper. If it weren’t for the Supplication, this would be my favourite RR.

Dark burgundy pour, with substantial and lasting off-white head - aroma of clove, nutmeg, overripe fruits - carbonation is medium-soft in the mouth - a little tart and almost funky to start, then some alcohol warmth to accompany some caramel, plum, fig and spices - mildly sweet, almost bready finish - a very nice belgian.

Unbelievable deposition of yeast on the bottom, near gushing and very lively carbonation to absurdly high, near white head; collapsing over straw-orange beer. Rozes, rosehips, wheat, a little bit of horseblanket, lemon or lemonblossom, citruszeste, old oak. Very refreshing taste with again lemon, lemonzeste, flowery, nectarines (actually, it reminds me and the wife of Pattyntje Dubbel when fresh, then again, who but us knows...) Medium bodied - gives actually a lighter impression than it is. I get again a slickness, reminding me of a wheatbeer. Again a very complex beer from Vinnie. To me, it’s like a lambic brewed with pure cultivars, instead of sp. fermentation. Very refreshing summer ale, great.

Thanks to Eyedrinkale for bringing this to the Heavyweight Open House - considering my other experiences with this brewery, this was not the brett bomb I was expecting it to be - the brett just left a slightly tangy, band-aid-like quality to the beer - perhaps with more aging the brett will kick in more - other than that, this was quite a light and refreshing belgian ale - mostly light citrus, with generally high acidity, tempered by a mellow, cake-like malt profile - very soft (but adundant) carbonation - pretty good.

A hazy orange beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet yeasty combined with notes of wheat and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with an acidity from the wheat, combined with notes of yeast and alcohol. It has a rather nice balance.
