Stadsbrouwerij & Brasserie 'T Pakhuis is one of those home breweries where beer is still brewed in the authentic way, that is to say with purely natural raw materials, without filtration and without pasteurization. Personnellement, j'aime qu'une bière me raconte une histoire. Et cette Den Bangelijke ne me raconte rien. Triple basée sur son alcool à 8,3% et ses arômes épicés, qui l'un et l'autre la joue en solo, avec des dissonances, des contre temps et sur une mélodie sans relief, cette bière ne passionnera guère les foules. En verre nous sommes sur un blond doré limpide, une effervescence relativement poussée et une mousse blanc cassé de 5 mm d'épaisseur. Le nez est sur les céréales, le zest d'orange et la girofle. Pas exceptionnel. L'attaque met l'alcool sur les devants avec une présence épicée bien présente avec coriandre, girofle et poivre. Céréales et zest d'orange sont toujours présents en sous-jacent. La deuxième bouche sur des arômes linéaires est un peu plus houblonnée avec un alcool pas entièrement bien intégré. L'alcool est même disgracieux en arrière-bouche. Le final reste sur cet alcool toujours quelque peu agressif. Si le final est relativement long, l'ensemble manque de corps. Approximatif et basique.

Opaque medium amber colour, small fizzy white head, mostly diminishing, not that attractive. Aroma sweet malt, peach, dried apricot, flower honey, caramel notes, yeast. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, yeasty, caramel, dries apricot, honey, spicy notes. Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, dusty impression, spicy notes. Not your typical tripel, nothing special but okay.

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: nice roast, lots of dark chocolate, some ripe banana, bit malty, some caramel, alcohol, spicy, some cloves. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet touch, pretty roasted, bitter, spicy, cloves, liquorice, dark chocolate. Aftertaste: very bitter, roasted, spicy, some staranise, dry, roasted, lots of alcohol, more liquorish, dark chocolate, bitter finish.

22/08/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from Willems & Zoon, Grobbendonk. Black, medium beige head. Nose is dark malts, dark fruits, chocolate. Taste is nice ashy roast, bit caramel, bit creamy feel, bit vanilla, sweet bitter ending.

On tap at ’t Pakhuis. Diacetyl bangs out of your glass. Butter, butter and butter and yes, also a touch of smoke. Rancid butter and cheap lemon sweets flavor. Distant earthy hops. Soft bitter aftertaste. Slightly alcoholic. After you have survived the butter mountain this beer is OK.
