Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of kajser27, shared with him, Marko and franski. Orange/golden coloured, small white head, lively carbonation, banana and cloves in the nose. Sweetish wheaty, light yeasty, banana, caramel and cloves with short dry sweetish finish.

Cloudy, yellow-orange colored, medium lasting white head. Aroma is banana and strong bubblegum, some cloves and yeast. Taste is wheat, medium sweet, very light banana and clove, light acidity, spent bubblegum. Light bodied, average carbonation, quite watery. Nice aroma but the taste is washed out and watery. Nice misty full golden body, enormous white head. Enormous fruity banana and peach nose, huge esters. creamy, very nice, sweet, ending dry. The taste... Stale chewed up bubblegum yeasty taste, empty, caramel, vague glue, wheat malt, vague citrus. Banana pops up here and there. Soft taste, ending somewhat abruptly. Slightly watery. Eh.... strange, messy but interesting wheat.

Can in Pravets - picked up at a Kaufland in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. Pours clear yellow, lightly effervescent, with a staunch, pillowy white head. Doughy white bread in the nose, some corn flakes, wheat. Light-medium sweet flavor with a whisper of bitter grain husk, more doughy bread, cereal, corn flakes, dried wheat. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish, with further grains, cereal, corn, hints of melon and white grape, a nip of straw. For an N/A beer, it’s not terrible.

Pours from a green bottle a clear crisp straw color topped with a white head. Nose is corn cereal malts and a touch of grassy hops. Taste is sweet corn the cereal malts and a lingering after taste.

From a 2 l plastic bottle bought at Balkan Market in Ghent. Medium thick, irregular, coarse, snow white head, colour pale golden blonde, strongly fizzy. Aroma of sweetbread and cooked chicken corn, dough, hints of minerals, plastic and grass. Neutral onset, dull grainy sourishness, very minerally and overcarbonated even for the style, lightly oily, thin body, soft grassy hop bitterishness in the finish but feeling a bit chemical as well. Not too good even for a intentionally bland standard lager.

Eines der bekanntesten BIere des Landes, das man überall bekommt. Auch in bulgarischen Geschäften außerhalb des Landes bekommt man es. Es ist ein einfaches Lager, das sich mit allem sehr zurückhält: Geschmack, Aromenvielfalt und sogar aussehen tut es nicht besonders. NIcht schlecht, aber auch nichts besonderes.

Bulgarian pale lager from a plastic 2 l bottle with plastic screw cap. Medium thick but not very stable, snow white, coarse, lightly lacing head over a clear orangey ’old gold’ coloured beer, darker than average for the style, with vivid sparkling. Simple aroma of sourish grains, white bread crust, wet cardboard, soaked cereals, grass, cornbread. Neutral onset, a bit minerally with medium carbo, grain sweet with a touch of old cookies and corn, smooth mouthfeel but not as thin or metallic as is often the case in this style; finish has a late, brief grassy hop bitterness but a vague plastic-like chemical wryness too. Very average at best, the sourish graininess becomes a bit bothersome in the end, certainly if you have to ingest 2 l of the stuff, but still a fairly drinkable standard lager.
