Tap at Cap Tap. Pours very dark brn/blk with a medium dark tan head. Aroma of very, very nice coffee. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, coconuts and maybe even some “nut grease”. Not dry, but far from sticky sweet. The malt is strong and dark, the drink is bitter. Burnt malt and/or hop for bitter. Hard for me to tell. Tastes very good.

At first the Aromas are grapes then a hint of resin Hops and pale malt. Flavors are Like Nose, mildly sweet up front going towards a little bitterness with Citrus and carbonation complimenting. Good body and finish with no off qualities.

32oz crowler pours with crystal clear copper body that supports full light tan head of. The aroma offers up orange citrus, dank spicy onion and some garlic. The taste doesn't disappoint with firm chewy bitter dank onion hoppiness paired with a thin tangelo like citrus juicy tanginess. Classic bitter forward West coast IPA. It ends with a modest dryness and plenty of tasty hoppiness.

On tap at the Solano Beach location, pours a dark black, oily. Lots happening, chocolate, nuts, coconut, booze, raisinette. Nose is excellent. Flavor is a bit overdone with sweetness, chocolate syrup, licorice, molasses, coconuts, cheap booze (both rum and whiskey), dried prune. Full bodied, sticky finish. 9 4 8 4 15

Can from Cap Tap. Pours translucent gold with a coarsely creamy white head. Aroma seems tropical. Med + body. Flavor is tropical - it's not mango, so must be papaya. Caramel support is detectable. Might be some pale stone fruit, but tropical seems dominant. There's a mild acidity thing - very mild - I doubt it's passionfruit, but could be a little pineapple. Pretty dry considering the fruit level. More than moderately bitter. A very solid ale. Devastatingly drinkable.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours gold with a bountiful white head. Aroma of mixed pale fruits over very lightly roasty malt. Med body. Flavor is very floral - more floral than fruity. Thinking hibiscus from the label, but it's more mango/passionfruit/citrus - so there's some floral I'm not getting. Reasonably dry, fun hoppy, decently bitter. Crushable.
